Beautiful food served by very friendly staff. We visited on a Sunday (party of 6). Two had fish and chips, one had a vegetarian curry, two had the roast pork and I had the roast chicken. Large portion sizes, beautifully seasoned, plenty of meat and vegetables and gorgeous Yorkshire puddings.
Had an excellent family meal on Easter Monday. Food and drink were top notch and the service by Oliver was friendly and welcoming. Would certainly recommend a visit to anyone and we will call again when we are next visiting the area.
Amazingly good value for money.... This pub was much better inside than it looked, and the food whilst fairly simple, was amazingly well cooked and tasted great especially as it was surprisingly cheap!
Called in Friday lunchtime the food was tremendous there is a good selection of drinks and such lovely people. We will be back!
Amazing value bar meals. The Yorkshire pudding wraps with roasties and dipping gravy are to die for. The basket meals look brilliant as well. Great service and a lovely host behind the bar , we will be back to try the rest of the food and music nights soon.
Great pub. Really well done without being overdone (which is easier said than done!). Really nice feel and decor. Good lighting and features. Simple, easy and open. Warming. Friendly. Good food. Reasonably priced. Great service. Great little find. Took a client there for a relaxed lunch and planning session. Perfect place for it. Will be back with more clients and friends.
Food is absolutely lovely. The menu is small but well thought out, the Yorkshire Pudding Wraps are fantastic. The restaurant area has been freshened up, but it still has a warming, welcoming feel. Can’t wait to return, looking forward to seeing it grow. Really pleasant visit.
Have eaten in the owners other pub a few times and heard they now had the tipputs and great reports on Sunday lunch. Was not disappointed. Having been in a few years ago and ( to say the very least ). The pub was “ tired. “. It was bright and welcoming. With great friendly staff. Luckily I had booked as was busy. Apparently going from 43 people in the morning to over one hundred for the day. Lovely surroundings. And as a newly plant based eater was blown away by their vegan roast. Freshly created. And tasty. If only they could master a vegan Yorkshire pudding and add that to the plate then it would have been spot on. Definitely will be going back for more. Thank you
